When does the new rule go into place allowing concealed carry permit holders to hike in National Parks, so long as they are in a state where their permit is valid? Also, does it apply to National Forests?

National parks carry doesn't start until Feb.22. Somehow I don't think National Forests are covered, as they are run by a different department.

CCW rules for National Forests already mirror the rules of the state they are located. In Colorado, CCW in NFs has been good to go with a state recognized permit for years. National Park carry is a whole different animal, with the rules changing at the end of Feb, I believe.

In NH you are covered with your in-state Pistol/Revolver Lic.
There are only a handful of LEO Rangers in the White Mountain NF and they contract locally with the Sheriff's Dept.
