Can the plastic guide rod on the Taurus pt 92 be changed out for something metal? If so, where do I get it? Thanks.

Langdon Tactical sells a stainless guiderod for the Beretta and I'm 99.999% sure it would fit the Taurus.

I will say that I have about 18,000 rounds through my Taurus with the plastic quite rod with no problems at all...

Yes, they are the same. Langdon would be a good choice.

Do you have a web address for langdon?

My guide rod is about 7 years old and yeah, it's plastic. I just think metal would look good.

My 92 has a metal rod. Check EBay for parts...I got a used PT-99 slide, barrell, rod, spring and misc parts for under $50.
