Please explain to me how to use J frame sights

Like I said, I would update the thread after I've been to the range.

I put 200 rounds of ammo through the gun today.

I've had a j frame for a few years now, so i'm very accustomed to the trigger and recoil, and neither of these bother me. I actually really enjoy the double action and single action trigger.

I was simply using the sights wrong! I feel so dumb. :cuss::banghead::eek:

Now I can go back to using the heavier weight ammo, the old remington +p LSWCHP.

I'm putting all 5 rounds into a paper plate at 25 yards in single action. :)

With practice, I hope to do the same with double action. Thanks everyone for the advice!

I did the same thing when I first got my 642. I couldn't believe its "inherent accuracy" was that low! Lucky for me, I began recalling a thread I read on the subject on this very site, after I had wasted 50 rounds but before slinking home feeling silly. After I got the lolly-pop-thing right, I started knocking over the steel plates pretty frequently.
