    Hi All,

Please vote this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

First - vote on this one.
Second - launch it to all the pro-gun folks and have THEM vote - then we
will see if the results get published.

To vote in the USA Today poll, click on the link below.
Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?

I couldn't get the poll, only the results at this point. I believe I already voted in it when this was first posted.

I'm encouraged that 97% feel the second amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms. No question that gun folks probably have this poll loaded a bit, but still, overwhelmingly pro-gun is very positive.

Wow - a lot of votes and a lot of pro-gun votes. Is this real? Over 300,000 with 97% pro-gun????

Well, since you asked, I was curious about this. If you delete the USA Today cookie, you could vote again in the poll, so it isn't very scientific.

But the liberty message is spreading like wildfire, so who knows? Who would have guessed Ron Paul would have as much support as he does?

By the way, I ony voted once.

That poll has been up for a while. To be honest I still haven't voted on it because I can't bring myself to say that the 2nd Amendment gave me the right to bear arms. The 2nd Amendment just takes rights away from Congress.

I realize the intent is to emphasize the individual right, as opposed to the state's right, but still, it is poorly worded.

Those are some pretty amazing numbers though.
