I always look for deals on bullets I shoot in volume. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you get burnt. My experiences have been good except for 1 batch of .224 60 gr. hollowpoints. They were terrible!
Several years ago I bought some 175 SMK pulldowns for $230/1K shipped. At .23 each I think they were a pretty good deal. I saw the following test between them and new.

Midway had factory seconds for sale last year. Sleuthing a little bit indicated they were Hornady's. Bought 1K of 30 cal in various configurations. They shoot as good as new bullets, IMO. I've been checking their site hoping they'll do it again this year.
