This is a video from a buddy of mine down near College Station, Texas. He has the Brazos Valley Boars YouTube channel. They showed up to hunt a property and the landowner decided to come along and watch. The guy apparently hates hogs. There were hogs just a few hundred yards behind the guy's place in the pasture, but the crew also spotted poachers along the fence in the next pasture. The pasture is owned by the landowner and the fence is just a cross fence and not a property line. The landowner hates hogs and suggested they deal with the hogs first, so they did.

This is sort of a nightmare scenario for me as I am a night hunter, usually solitary. Fortunately, I have not run into poachers, but strange and surprising things do occur from time to time at night that you don't expect.

Anyway, I thought the reactions of the poachers were pretty hilarious. They supposedly were accidental poachers that were on the wrong property (should have been across the road). It is always important that when you get permission to hunt a place that you actually know where you are allowed to hunt. Sheesh.

Fun video. I think the landowner and Daniel and his crew did well. I don't think I would have handled it the same way, but I wasn't there and it wasn't my land. My concern would have been regarding the poachers over the hogs, as a matter of safety, but that is just me.

Interesting video. Thanks for posting. That night hunting stuff could have tragic consequences under certain situations. "Know your target and what's beyond it.
