From what I understood, even though it is probably not noticeable the dimensions of the LCP are a bit larger than the P3AT and they are both a bit bigger than the P32??
If you want the smallest though, I believe Seecamp has that in the bag as far as overall size is concerned. I think the P32 is just a little slimmer but the Seecamp is overall smaller in both the .32 ACP and .380 ACP versions.
the new taurus is going to be the smallest and lightest .380 on the market... if it ever comes out... the walther .380 will be slightly larger than the p-22, not really pocketable, but I will still have to get one simply because I like the p-22 so much...
The Seecamp is the smallest, but both it and the Micro DE are rather heavy and make the pocket sag and bounce more. The P3AT is the most pocketable pistol that I know of. They are concealable, have good punch, are light weight, and are reliable.
Beyond that or the LCP, which is essentially a clone with smoother lines, I'd get a Sig P230/P232 or a Walther PPK.

Kel-Tec P-3AT weighs 8 ounces empty and a little over 11 ounces loaded, depending on the ammo design. All of the others weigh more...even much more and will sag a pocket enough to print out in some cases. It's lighter than most 25s but far more effective.
Anything that means to be competitive needs to be about as light as well as being as small. That's very hard to do reliably since every bit of metal is about as thin as possible. Not much room for error. Easy way to make something similar is just add more meat i.e. weight. Trouble is they just get harder to conceal when they get heavier.
I vouch for the P3AT. Lightness and thinness are important. I don't want anything heavy & blocky in my pocket; I want flat and the MDE is thicker & heavier.
Doesn't that Micro Desert Eagle have like a one inch barrel? I'm all for having as much barrel as is conveniently possible on every gun.
Actually the Micro DE has a 2.2-2.3" barrel and is also gas operated so its shoots much smoother and uses lighter recoil springs so its easier to operate the slide. The supposedly have a very nice trigger and feel like a "real" gun in hand. I saw some numbers and it was still pushing like 950fps with 90-95 grain ammo. You may not be a big fan of the DE lineup but the Micro DE is basically a USA made reproduction of the Kevin pistol that has such a good reputation over seas.
I've had the LCP for a bit over a week. Prior to this, my only pocket pistol was a Taurus PT-22. They're very similar in size, though the .22 has a longer grip.
P380 is just one fantastic 380. super in quality, allthe bells and whistles and dead nuts accurate. Can't say enough aboutmine, and oh yes 450 flawless rounds out fo the box helps alot to.
Im waiting for mine now Jocko. We cant seem to get our hands on any down here. If the P380 is as reliable as my MK9 and PM9 then it will certainly be a keeper. Kevin.
all reports are exactly that, and unlike the lcp and the kt's which all give smileys to their bullets, the Khars is smiley free. A big score, for smileys can definitely produce bullet set back and as one gunowner told me once a smiley on a new bullet is now a damaged round.
My P380 is a real dream to shoot, I can shoot 200 round sout of it with ease and not feel trigger pinch like I did with my lcp and kt's.they probably all will go bang, the P380 IMO just goes bang with "class"
Do to ammo shortages, I only have 450 rounds through it with 5 different bands of ammo and no issues from any... Great gun...can't wait till they offer nite sites for them..
Ihave heard a extened one round extra magazine will be offered soon...
The question should be.....why getting a .380 with many pocketable 9 mm out there???
Same caliber (so no increased round count advantage) almost double the power at less cost and negligible size difference....no real reason for a 380 anymore...
I'm a fan of the Bersa Thunder .380CC. I have one for around the house (I live in the People's Republic of Maryland). Easily fits in my pocket. What I like is that it does weigh more than an LCP, is larger than an LCP, and feels like a real gun, yet is small enough to easily conceal.
the bersa thunder is a nice gun but IMO you could carry a kahr PM9 which is 9mm in your front pocket and have less weight, less size, far more firepower and yes it would cost more to..
