Personally, If I saw someone approaching me who looked like a possible threat, I wouldn't let him get as close as 7 yards before taking some kind of action - either passive or aggressive depending on the situation.

I think an important thing to remember about pocket holsters is that you should ready the draw first it with your hand in the pocket and on the gun at first threat. Example: when I'm walking through a dark parking lot, I've already have my hand inside the pocket with my hand already on the gun in case something happens. If you have to draw with your hand outside and then going inside the pocket to draw out, yeah I can see that being slow.

A 400+ lb woman was actually able to RUN?!?

Like a steam roller

It may not be for long distance, it may only be linear, it may only be short lived in duration. But it is damn sure doable...:)

Where lies the true danger, is trying to tackle and cuff a monolith of a person, if by chance you end up on the bottom of the fray you run the risk of severe if not permanent injury. I once had to choke hold a no neck bull elephant with out being able to have my feet touching the ground during the on set. It was damn near impossible. To get application and apply torque while riding this fella.
