I did it!!! I solved the age old question: How do i stop my pocket gun from rusting? I figured since i wipe down my Kel Tec P3AT every night with a silicone cloth, why dont they just make a pocket holster with a silicone treated lining??? Well, i made one. I just cut a little peice of silicone cloth, just enough to cover my p3at's slide and glued it inside my Desantis nemesis. Guess what.... No more rusting. Zero. The slide is always well coated with silicone now. Also i no longer have to worry about my bodies persperation because the cloth repels moisture. Look at my pics. It works well, and it is a very cheap, easy modification. Please dont mind my messy workbench. It's controlled chaos.

Not a bad idea, provided you can still draw the pistol and not pull the holster out of the pocket with it.

I highly recommend EEZOX - my P-3AT goes with me almost everywhere on a daily basis, and I have never had any rust. I almost never wipe it down, and sometimes leave it in my leather holster overnight (which is a bad idea if you don't like rust). I am fairly certain the Eezox is the reason. Try the Eezox with your holster mod.

I have almost the same settup, but the .32 version.

I've been really happy with the Nemesis, very affordable, comfy, light, keeps in place, etc.

Even though have reasonably caustic sweat, I never had a rust problem with my P32. Then I got the slide hard-chromed, so now that critter is well-night indestructible.

Must be a difference in folks' sweat chemistry.

BTW: I hear KT quit their hard-chrome refinish program, darn shame.

Once you perfect the manufacture of those to an artform, with economies of scale you should sell those on Ebay. I'd buy one for my P3AT.

I love the Seecamp, but the Kel-Tec has its advantages too. Light weight, thin profile, light trigger, longer barrel, and price/availability.

If you own a Seecamp, why not pick up a Kel-Tec too? If you are ever involved in a self-defense shooting you have to figure the LWS is going to be in an evidence locker for a good while, and the last thing you will want is to be without your pocket pistol after becoming the object of derision of the BG's family/friends.

In that case I'd switch to one of my other guns. Either a USPc or P7 until my "baby" returned, or maybe a Beretta, or a CZ, perhaps the Walther or the Glock. Ahh..I have it! GUN SHOW this weekend! Now...what to look for...???

But those are hardly pocket pistols. If I were worried someone were after me I would have the pocket pistol as a BUG to something more potent like you mentioned (my "large" CCW is a Glock 29). But in the case you couldn't carry something larger, you would still need the pocket pistol. For $225 you don't have much to lose; and you could always sell it for close to what you paid if you didn't like it...:D
