Point of Impact with IC Mobile Chokes

I was practicing some trap yesterday in lieu of a pheasant hunt and found an unusual occurrence Shooting a Beretta 682 Golden E, 12 gauge O/U and switching barrels, too, I had to pull through the target to break it with an Improved choke at 16 yards as oppose to shooting Modified. With Mod, I just held underneath and smoked 'em every time. I was shooting at them "out of the house". May be 20 yards at most. Can anyone explain what was going on?

Sounds like the Mod choke patterns higher than the IC choke. An hour at the patterning board will tell you more.

Ya, I was wondering if I have a bad IC choke. The gun has crossing patterns are 30 yards, however, I did switch barrels with the chokes and ran into the same problem the second time around. Mod shot beautifully no matter which barrel I used.

Hit the pattern plate and see what you are getting. I;m not a trap shooter, but one time I did use my Remington 1100 in 28 gauge with a skeet choke and broke my best at 24; it ain't the choke.............
