Clicked other I would go with a Nighthawk GRP or Enforcer. One day I will own one of em too.

Other: Colt Special Combat Government model. Closest production gun to the "dream" 1911 I had built a few years ago.

I own a TRS and CQB and love them both. The fit and finish on the Wilson is no doubt better than the TRS but both perform 99%. I vote for the Wilson because of the attention to detail and customer service. If in the off chance their is a problem with your Wilson they will send you a call tag and get it back in a week or two in most cases. Wilson has a life time warranty. Not so on the Baer.

I can only base this off of the ones I have shot, and the EB I own. Get the EB.

i have a Wilson & Brown.
between the 2, the Brown is (IMO) the better gun. better fit, finish (IMO) and better trigger.

when i was shopping for a Commander sized 1911, the shop had a Ed Brown Kobra Carry, Wilson Professional bobtail and Baer Commanche. all nice guns, but the Brown was the winner.

if you want a great shooter for less (Les?) money and didn't care about the finish, then the Baer would be it.

of the high end production 1911s you've listed, i'd say the Brown has the best apprearance and the Baer is the best shooter

i understand they are fitted differently. the Baer should hold up better over time

Don't own one but I like the looks of the Nighthawk T3. My two high end 1911's are a RRA and a customized Colt Commander; since one is custom and the other is no longer made my hands on knowledge is not relevant.

I voted for the EB SF...somehow I missed the "other" option, not enough coffee yet I guess. In reality my choice is an Ed Brown Kobra Carry. When shopping, I compared it to a few Wilson, Les Baer, and Nighthawk products, and came home with the Kobra. For ME, it's the 1911 that ended the search. If there is a better one out there, I'm not sure that I would be able to appreciate the difference. Just my .02 :)

I love my three Wilson Combat pistols, but you can't go wrong with any of those you listed in your poll!!

Had To Choose Other!

While I have shot two of the three pistols listed I have to stick with my absolute favorite ... My Kimber Custom Stainless II .45ACP!

Maybe I am biased because it was my first gun but I LOVE IT! It feels like part of my hand and arm when I hold it ... it's pretty accurate considering I'm still a terrible shot ;-) lol and IT IS RELIABLE! I now have hundred of rounds through mine and a buddy of mine that goes to the range with me also have a Kimber 1911 ... his is a Tactical Custom HD II ... and he has THOUSANDS of rounds through it and we talked and neither of us have had any problems! No jams, no misfeeds ... NOTHING!

I know I sound like a freakin Kimber commercial but I couldn't imagine a better gun ... FOR ME that is!

Take care people!!!

I have owned two of the three (Baer TRS and Wilson CQB) specific models listed, and I would choose the Wilson if I could get it the way I wanted. That means no front cocking serrations and a hard chrome finish. I really like the Wilson 17-4PH barrels although my experience with the Kart barrels used by Baer have been extremely positive.

I own 2 Baers and had a CQB. I also own a Nighthawk GRP. My favorite ,by far,is my PII followed by my TRS. I like the fact that Baer still uses a carbon steel barrel and he hard fits his guns. The carbon steel barrel will last longer than a stainless ,and be more accurate. All my Baers run 100% as does my GRP. Some 1911's start tight but loosen up after a few 100 rounds. Not a Baer! It will stay tight for 1000's of rounds. Even when it does loosen up, it will still be tighter than most 1911's when new.

Prolly the Baer, get the garunteed 1.5 in @50 yards. also perhaps look at a Springer TRP Custom??

Which Premium 1911??

I'd love to have any of them. And I'm sure they're all fine firearms. So, I think it just comes down to personal preference. Find the one that calls out to you. Maybe there's a slight difference in style that appeals to you more than the others. Could be the color of the finish on one catches your eye.

Hold 'em, try not to drool on 'em, and find your baby. It's the only way to know. ;)

Ok... From some what of a noob.

I have shot the Ed Brown and the Wilson and a Bear (but not the TRS) and I can honestly say that they all shot and handled wonderfully. I only put about 20-50 rounds through each, but they were all great. I, personally would choose the Ed Brown because of the styling, but they are all fine fine side arms and I feel that any difference would be personal preference.
