I just picked up my new cz75b from my FFL and noticed some slight imperfections in the polycoat finish. First I noticed a few tiny pits in the finish on the slide I couldnt get a good shot of it with the camera but I was just curious as to if anyone else noticed these on their CZ.

Also part of the slide is not as smooth as the rest and is shown in the pic I took. Ignore the brown tint, but notice the lighter areas that look almost worn down.

There is also a decent sized scratch on the slide.

Is all this normal? Or am I just being too picky?

You are not being picky. Those are significant finish blemishes. I have 3 CZs and all of them have perfect polycoat finishes.

I just emailed CZ about the problem, I really hope they can fix this. I dont want to have to send it back to the dealer, because then I would have to pay the FFL fees, and wait the ten days all over again.

As long as the serial number doesn't change, meaning the same pistol, CZ USA will send the pistol back to you directly. You can also ship the pistol directly to CZ USA, but you must use FedEx or UPS, specifically their next-day service.

I was recently told if you remove the firing pin from a pistol, it can be shipped as "machine parts" using regular ground shipping fees.

No I don't think you're being picky. Send it back to CZ USA.

Yea that is unusual, I would send it back also. Have many czs never seen one like that. What is the date of mfg which is located to the left of the ejection port in a round oval?

It says 05.

What do you think my chances are of them fixing it? It does say on my warrenty card that they do surface repairs.

Have you field stripped it to make sure it has not been used? But still after heavy use it still should not look like that.

I did but could not really tell by looking at it. That would be screwed up if they gave me a used CZ lol.

I don't believe that's quite correct, especially since the receiver itself is what's defined as the firearm under federal law.
