Polygonal Rifling

Hope I am spelling this right Polygonal Rifling? Like in the CZ-82 pistols is it any good?? Thinking about purchasing a CZ-82 but dont know any thing about this rifling.

Poygonal rifleing is used in all Glocks, and I believe all H&K pistols. It is supposed to form a tighter gas seal, and increase bullet velocity. I have not noticed any real positives or negatives compared to convential rifleing. With the exception that you are not supposed to shoot lead bullets out of polygonal rifeling. If you don't shoot lead don't worry about it.

HK made a competition version of the P9 with longer barrel,
weight and grip which outshot the usual competion models
like Hammerli and Walther in .32!

I have a KAHR that has the Poly Rifling and it is just stupid accurate for a 45 with a 3in barrel, but I'm not saying it is because of the poly rifling. I'm just not that knowledgeable about it.

The poly rifling is supposed to increase muzzle velocity. The CZ-82 bore almost looks like a smooth bore. It's freaky but it works.

The only thing I don't like about the CZ-82 is the recoil. It's really sharp. It actually hurt the first couple of times I shot my 82 before I figured out the right grip.
