So its the Polytech Legend bayonet that fits then I take it?

How well and securely does it attach as there doesnt seem to be a lug for the butt of the bayonet to lock to so as the bayonet isnt flopping around?

And this is the Polytech Legend National Match with the 20 inch heavy barrel that we are talking about, correct, just to make sure?

Would you mind posting some pics?
Thanks.

I didn't know the National Match had a heavy barrel. In that case, it probably will not fit. The bayonet attaches to the end of the barrel with a support slipping around the beginning of the gas port. If your barrel has a larger diameter, the bayonet will not fit.

Actually the gas port on the Polytech Legend National Match AK47 rifle is much further back as the barrel is 20 inches long and not the 16 inches of the Polytech Legend AK47 rifle.
The barrel on the all of the Polytech Legend series rifles are heavy and take the first type bayonet in your picture.
Theoretically, the first type Polytech Legend AK47 bayonet should fit onto the the muzzle area of the Polytech Legend National Match AK47 although it wont have a lug to lock onto which is what I was afraid of.
Unless there is a bayonet lug adapter that would work on this rifle, or the rifle could be modified by a competent gunsmith to have the correct bayonet lug placed on the rifle.

Yeah, I am trying to figure out a way that I might be able to attach the bayonet securely to a Polytech Legend National Match.
Thanks for that picture btw.

So... I gots to know....

What kind of scores does that National Match AK shoot?

I have heard accounts of sub moa, in particular .8 inches at 100 meters and have no reason to believe the person was untruthful.
It probably shoots better if the bayonet would attach.........(ha ha), sorry had to throw that in it as I am a bayonet person, just makes em look bad, for all of our antigun supporters out there.:neener:
