I'm putting this in the rifle section because that's what the products in question accessorize.
First, lots of people talk about how Leupold stands behind their guarantee and after a scope I bought used went down, the claims are true! I had one that wasn't adjusting right, sent it in, was told to wait three weeks and got it back just shy of one week later (2 weeks early if you're following along at home). Good as new and free of charge. They never asked if I dropped it, had a receipt, or any of the usual customer service questions. I'll buy from them again, that's for sure.
Anyway, with a freshly restored scope in hand I hastily put it in my s&k vz24 mount, lined it up, and did what I tell everyone on here NOT to do... Yank the heck out of the screw driver and break off a screw in the hole. What's there to do after a bone headed move like that? Call s&k scope mounts. Again , they didn't care that I was the idiot, they just offered to send a new ring and screws! I told them to hold off and see if I could get a mechanic I knew to remove the broken screw. He did. Then I called them again and a set of those screws are enroute to my house right now. I screwed up (no pun intended), but they are paying for shipping and the screws themselves.
For all the "I'll never buy from x again," and, "y won't stand behind their worthless products!" threads that we get on here, I thought something positive about good companies was in order.
