I may be looking at a move from one restrictive 2A state to another and am concerned with continuing keeping and bearing....
I am a permanent resident alien (Green Card) living in NJ and have jumped through the necessary NJ hoops to own
Semi automatic pistol
Semi automatic rifle (Evil Black Rifle)
Pump action shotgun
Possible job move to Boston and when I went to look at the gun laws in www.nra-ila.com for MA was dismayed to see it at first glance appears that aliens are effectively not permitted to possess a firearms ID card and therefore cannot have and hold firearms, ammunition etc.
After poking around it APPEARS that this may have been written for non resident aliens coming in say to hunt, competitively shoot etc.
Does anyone on the board have any firm info on
1. Since I already legally own these weapons and the weapons are or can be made to conform to MA law (10 round magazines basically) do I need to obtain an FID to keep them (not add to them) and shoot at a range for example if I move to MA.
2. Does the word alien, in this case, specifically include permanent resident alien. Please, no irrelevant comments as to "Why should a PRA own weapons, become an American", been down there already......
3. Assuming 2 does NOT mean/include PRA's, does anyone have any idea how tortuous the process is get an FID, probably living in Boston municipal area.
