Possible to change stock DSA FAL furniture?

I can't get the website to come up, but assuming it isn't the para stock, you can bolt it right on. A dedicated tool makes it easier, but a section of .22 cleaning rod and a screwdriver will get the job done.

If you have an STG58 you already have the same kind of stock and pistol grip.
Ditch the metal handgaurds and get a set of DSA handguards are you are set.

In any case, the SA-58 set is 100% US made and so you can never go wrong, legally, about adding the furniture.

I do agree with powermd about just adding the handguards, by the way.

I recomend a SAW pistol grip, Argi nylon handguards, and a "humpback" type buttstock.

Look around, there is a wide range of possible furniture for a matric FAL, and the only specialized tool needed is a buttstock wrench.

I'm assuming you want to change the COLOR of your existing furniture.

Yes, the DSA furniture will fit it fine.

Get the stock-tool if you remove the butstock. The recoil spring nut usually lets go after 14-16 revolutions.
Pay attention and keep your head out of the way.

You, of all people, encouraging someone to use precaution and the proper tools to accomplish that which could be done with a greater degree of adventure....

I made a fine tool by using an old pistol cleaning rod.

I dremmiled flats in the aluminum swiveling ferrel head, and JB welded the swiveling ferrel and plastic nob so they were fixed.

I had to start the buttstock screw with a BFScrewdriver but the dremmiled flats would catch the buttscrew after it was loosened, and the lenght of cleaning rod would keep the springs captive.

Blood was not lost while making tool, so only partial WESCOG credit for use of JB Weld and dremmil tool.
