Posting feedback for Gunbroker

I recently purchased a revolver off of Gunbroker and found that the Seller had greatly misrepresented the condition of the piece ... and he refused to take it back, even though I was prepared to eat all shipping charges.

I have not yet posted the F Feedback that he has so dishonestly earned.

I first contacted Gunbroker Support about the situation and provided them with the details (emails from the Seller indicating the condition, the 3 ignored emails to him after I received the pistol, and pics of the piece).

He has not posted Feedback for me and, after speaking to him on the phone, I have no doubt that he will respond to my Feedback with an F for me.

I have a slight hope that my contacting Support and providing them all of the documentation in advance will get them to, at least, somewhat mitigate any damage to my rating (64 A+s) that he tries to do.

So I decided to go ahead & post feedback on the 2 most recent items I'd bought. Lo & behold, the next day one of the sellers posted feedback for me...

As a seller, I post feedback as soon as payment is received/ cleared and as a buyer I post feedback as soon as I receive/ inspect the item; this applies whether on Gunbroker, Ebay, etc. I remember on Ebay years ago where a seller contacted me and said he wouldn't post feedback until I, as a buyer, did so even though he had already received/ cleared payment; these cases are merely childish behavior of a seller holding feedback "hostage."

I would give him an "F" if that is what he deserves and include any documentation in the feedback section; this seems to be the only way for someone to have any hope in having charges eventually reversed for a transaction. Even if charges cannot or likely be reversed, honest feedback may help the next person who is thinking about or is dealing with him.
