Powder avalibility?

Around here in NE Georgia most of our LGS have rifle powders like RL19, RL22, H4831, IMR4831,7828, etc. A few have been getting CFE pistol, longshot, and Titewad. I haven't seen Titegroup, W231, or Bullseye in a while. I placed an order for 16lb of Titegroup back in December at my gun club, and picked up one 8lb jug about 2-3 weeks ago. I left work early the day they called me, because I didn't want it setting around very long in the club house. I did notice the price jumped from $117 to $127/ 8lb.

LGS has better inventory than most including Varget, Bullseye, RL15 etc.

Looks like only rifle powders. Been easy to find rifle powders at guns shows here. Pistol powder still is take what you can get mode.

We've got a little bit of this and that, but I still can't get the timing right to grab some RL22. Every time I try to get some, I'm told, I missed it by that much.

^^^ $82.60 (powder + haz mat + shipping) for 2 lbs of CFE Pistol equals $41.30 per lb. I think I'll wait for the stuff to show up locally. Good thing for me, I'm still sitting on enough powder to get me through the summer. Others may not be so fortunate.

Can find some rifle powder up here but handgun powder is a whole other story. Been trying to find 2400 or hp38 or w231 or h110 or mp300.........no luck! It's hard to find shotgun too. I sure hope this changes

I really think we're SOL for HP-38 and W231 for quite a while. Thought about going after the CFE pistol but at the prices above, I'll wait. I still have 2 lbs of W231 in the safe and about 2k of .45 to load still.

LGS here at home (west central AL) has a pretty good supply of rifle powder and heavy handgun powders but no 231, Universal, Unique ect. Although I did score an 8 lb jug of Unique about 4 months ago which will get me by until after dove season this year.

A month or 2 ago, a friend was underwhelmed with the selection at the few guns shops we have in town.
We took his car, and his phone, and did the 'SIRI where is the closest sporting goods store', called and asked if they carried guns, reloading supplies, and pretty much made a day of it.
I bought 10 pounds of alliant 2400, and most of it was at $24-26 a pound. The most I paid was $28.50
Hornady bullets were also available in .41 and .45 (This was before the shortage 'relaxed'.), and I needed to make a few trips from the car into the basement.
The mom and pops and small town hardware stores had way more on their shelves than the big places, and cheaper, too.

It was a pretty good saturday. No .22 long rifle though.

One thing that I have found that seems to help. Go to the manufacturers websites is see who they list as distributors in your area. This list of course won't be all the stores that sell powder in your area but they tend to be the bigger ones. It seems like they get powder before the others. Last week I saw I saw Bullseye, Power Pistol, and Red and Green Dot.

It's a good thing that I am set on powder for a long time because
I was only able to get one pound of rifle powder in the last year.
That's the only powder I have seen around here in a year.
If they have any it isn't not getting on the shelves.
The LGS jacked his price from $25 to $32 for the pound
