As the topic says I am trying to figure out what range of burn rates I should be looking at for 168g-180g bullets. Are there any special considerations to keep in mind when choosing powder for a 18" AR 10,

I have on hand varget, imr 4064, imr 4895, and imr 8208xbr. And have loaded a workup with xbr and 165g gamekings, it's what the LGS had. I am going shooting tomorrow to see how it shoots.

I also load 223 for a 16" ar15 so common powders are nice but not required
Thanks

'Special considerations' - Not so much, so long as you're following some sort of quality/reputable data. All the powders you listed will work dandy for you.

I would highly recommend taking your 168s, and utilizing the the label load on the Varget container.... Best of luck out-shooting this load with some other bullet/powder combo.
