Just getting into reloading. I plan on trying to load either 65g V-Max or 70g Nosler BT Varmint (if they shoot accurately in my gun, Savage Axis 2). I will be using it for coyote, maybe some target use. So i dont need a heavy bullet, as i wont be deer hunting with it. I currently have IMR 4895, 4064, 4350, H4831sc, and RL-15. I see a lot of info on 4350 but its mostly with heavier bullets; i cant find much info on lighter bullet weights. Varget seems to be mentioned alot but i dont have any right now. Is the 4350 to slow for bullets that light? I know I could work up loads in every single powder for both bullets but thats alot of powder and reloading. lol.

Ya, IMR-4350 and H4831 probably aren't a go with the lighter bullets your using. I've used some older published data IMR-4350 during it's era, and with no problems. But a number of changes have taken place with the introduction of transducer pressure testing which has revealed that some powders and data weren't as compatible as once thought with CUP testing. Though I don't ever advocate using obsolete data, I do still use some old data that I've been using for two or three decades.

You have some good powders there, 4320 and 4064 will do just fine. More importantly they are acceptable powders for what you are intending to load, just stick to current published data and you'll be fine.

Save the IMR-4350 and H4831 for the bullets weights published. They are very good performers where applicable.

Hodgdon has what your looking for, regarding published data.
