I have a rcbs 5-10 powder scale and would like to get a digital scale. Who make a reliable scale that is priced reasonable? I would love the ones that have the powder dispenser attached but from what I remembered they were pricey. Any suggestions?

The best digital scale for the money is the Dillon D-Terminator scale. It is much less sensitive to atmospheric changes like the other scales. I started out with a cheapie $40 digital scale and it did work but I was wishing that I just saved up a little more and got the dillon. You won't be disappointed.

I bought the RCBS Rangemaster 750 last fall. Cost was $105. Once I learned to leave it on all the time I was pleased with it. Another thing that helped was to use an empty cartridge (with the primer inverted) instead of the tray.

Thanks guys. I'm wondering if it's just better going right to a digital powder dispenser to aid in having to weigh each load and fill cases?

The Dillon, Lyman, Pact, and RCBS scales are all fine instruments and will adequately do the the task required and do it with precision. I would suggest you visit a large gun store and try out the various models. Or, if that tends to be a problem, just pick out the color balance you like best. Seriously though, I'm rather fond of the Pact scale.

Thanks loadedround. Not much here locally. Not like when I lived in Bflo but the weather here is much better. LOL. Have to start looking at some gun shows.
