Powders and Primers in Massachusetts

Hi boys!

Can somebody tell me if to buy Smokeless Powders and Primmers it´s necesary a license or similar?

This summer I will go to Boston to study and I want to buy this kind of things.

PD: I make this question because I´m from Spain and I dont know legal questions in USA about firearms or components to reload.

Good luck not only is a license need but a storage permit from the fire dept. is also required.

Check out www.Goal.org for more information. First evey state has its own firearm laws besided the federal laws. Federal laws do not barr you from buying componets but ammo, primers and powder are restricted items in Massachusetts so you will need to apply for a Non resident Firearm license from the MA State Police. It is difficult to obtain a firearm license in the state, and would probably not be worth it for the short time you will be here. And to correct a previous poster you do not need to get a permit to store reasonable amounts of powders and primers in one own residence. Though that can vary depending on the town or city.
