Just to experiment, I am hunting with 245gr aero-tip powerbelts on top of 100gr of H777 in my remmington 700ml this year for deer in Ohio. I have 1" groups at 50yds, and 2" groups at 100. How do these bullets perform on deer sized game? I have tested many bullets in this 50 cal rifle, and killed deer with 1 shot kills...

I've not had the opportunity to shoot a deer yet, but I'm hunting with the same ammo, except its the HP's. I was surprised at the accuracy, I was achieving overlapping shots at the range.

Powbelts

I have shot at least 20 deer with the 295 and the 348 gr. powderbelt bullet with no problem. I have heard of the powerbelt breaking up, but I have not experienced that problem. They have performed without any problems for me.

I have had complete pass thru even out to 150 yds. Never had one run over 50 yds. I've had inch and half groups at 100 yds. on the range and they are easy to load. What else could you ask for?

They tear the crap out of em' on that Chuck Hawks forum...but everytime I ask, I get reports of good results...I generally shoot around 50 yds and under, where I am hunting next week. Thats why I feel the 245gr shood be sufficient.

I used a Remington with the powerbelt a couple of years ago in 45 cal. I shot 3 deer with it and never had a problem. All 3 around 50yds., let us know how they do for you.
