PPK USERS!!!! accuracy question .32acp

I have both the French Manurhin PP in .32 and an Interarms in .32.

Out to ten yards, I can pretty much eat out the same hole. They start to spread out a little at around 15 yards and at 25 I can still get 4 to 6 inch groups.

All said the gun is capable of far more accuracy than I am capable of holding it. At the distances I would expect to use it - I have total confidence in its performance.

I shoot mainly Prvi Partisan FMJ or Fiocchi FMJ. I have also had good results with Winchester, Federal and Remington ammo. The Federal Hydra Shoks perform well if you like an HP - but, I generally keep the Fiocchi FMJ in mine for carry rounds.

With mostly Fiocchi or S&B, and those tiny sights, about the best I can shoot is a 3" spread at 7-10 yards. I shoot my .380 Beretta 84 and Sig 232 a bit tighter. I attribute this to the better sights.

Mine seems to like any ball ammo it gets fed.
It groups well out to 15 yards or so, after that the problem is me in combination with a short site radius.
Some ammo groups to point of aim and some doesnt but they all seem to group well so you just need to play with some different brands.
Have fun.

Pretty much the same results with any .32 ammo in my Manurhin PP; tight groups out to around 50'. I think the fixed barrel design helps with the accuracy along with a decent set of sights on a pocket size auto.

mine is shooting all over the shop. at 10 yards it shoots 10-12 inches. I know its not like one of the rifles... but i did expect a little more than that! with what you guys are saying makes me think i will have a look at the crown, it might be a bit damaged.

I can do head shots on a B-27 silhouette targets at 25 yards with most any ammo, but the Speer Gold Dot and Hornady XTP's are more consistently accurate. My gun does print about 7-8" high at that range, though, so I have to aim at the bottom of the "neck".

At 10 yards, I'm usually around a 3" group, which when fired into a silhouette target is right in the 'X' ring or the center of the head, and that's good enough for me. From 15-20 yards, the pattern spreads, but it's still in the '9 ring' of a silhouette target, which again I find to be acceptable.

I carry Sellier & Bellot, and also shoot Prvi at the range. Both seem to be accurate, with the S&B being a somewhat hotter load, which is why it gets the nod as the EDC ammo.

I am far from a marksman, and I hesitate to discuss 'accurate ammo' because I'm sure 90% of my innaccuracy is due to my technique, stance, and corrected vision, but I have found CCI Blazer (in the aluminium case) to be about the worst in .32 when it came to putting shots on target.

i had a really good look over my pistol today, it had some dings on the crown that were quite deep. i have redressed the crown. we eill see tomorrow....

Am getting very good accuracy with HDY xtp's, over green dot. Also own a Manurhin and ppk. The french pistol is noticably more accurate than the interarms ppk.

When not using reloads, use win fmj, but have never tried anything else.

My InterArms SS PPK/s .32 acp gives great accuracy out to 15 yds with Win FMJ. Reliability is excellent with all hardball and most HP ammo.

i just cut the crown a little today, using a round headed coach bolt with valve grinding paste.

the accuracy has improved beyond recognition.. at 15 yards i am now shooting justa couple of inches with fmj and home moulds. i am having some hornady xtp delivered from cliff in cedar city. i look forward to trying them.
