Pre 27 value??

I was wondering what a good price would be for a S&W pre model 27. The one I saw has a 6-61/2 inch barrel on it and had a stunning blue finish and looked darn near new. I don't believe that it had been refinished.

There are a lot of variables to consider that we really can't answer without pictures. Just having certain period correct grips could increase the price estimate by $300-$400. Assuming it's not a registered magnum, and assuming it doesn't sport "coke bottle" grips, a great condition 357 Magnum N-Frame (pre-27), without box & docs, with a 6" barrel -- $800 - $1000 is about as close of a guess as I would care to take based on the info provided.

Last one I picked up in near perfect condition was $1150 cash.



Here it is. I call it my shooter now as I don't have the matching box like my other near perfect Pre-27.
