I would really like to get two or three hi-cap mags, but by virtue of living in NY, I am limited to the pre-ban ones. Could anyone tell me where to get some pre-ban drop-free mags for my Glock 20?

Thanks!

You are largely SOL...

Most on-line vendors will not ship any standard capacity magazines to NY or other restricted states or cities...

Best to look at your local gun shows for some that may already be in the state. There would not have been any "pre-ban" markings on pre-ban magazines, nor would there be on any today, so you cannot readilly identify standard capacity magazine vintage other than those manufactured and so marked during the ban.

I have some pre-94 Glock 21 magazines that are standard (13 round) capacity. I've noticed that the cut-out near the top of the magazine is different than my post-2004 Glock 23 and "AWB compliant" Glock 17 magazines

So, I think there's a good way of spotting pre-94 Glock magazines, just not sure what you call it. I think that's why the OP referenced "drop free" magazines. That little cutout has something to do with it all.

More to Gigabuist's point, I believe the pre-ban mags have the caliber marking lower than the post-ban. In other words if you look at a Glock mag from the back you can visualize it as a rectangle with a trapezoid on top. The pre-ban mags have the caliber marking in the rectangular section, whereas the new mags have it in the trapezoidal region.
