Pre-lock 357 model 60

Was there ever a pre-lock model 60 in 357? I have a 60-4 3" but that is only 38spl. I know there are a billion revisions for this gun but was there one like describe?

Yes

I bought one for my wife about 8 years ago. Bought it used and it is still in great shape. I was just looking at it the other day and it dawned on my that is does not have the lock. It is a 2" barrel, .357. Don't like shooting .357s out of it, but with .38s it is a fun little shooter.

Definitely.
I have one.

It's a great little solid steel J-frame 3" barrel pistol with no nasty internal lock.
It's a bit "brisk" in recoil with premium 125gr+P .357Magnum loads, but not as bad as when I shoot the same loads in my 340PD!

My 60-9 is 2 1/8 inch barrel and my 60-10 is a 3 inch.
