I'm currently using a Rock Chucker Supreme single stage press for some of my reloading. I like the press except for one issue. When the ram is at the top of the stroke, I cannot see, or measure, the distance between the top surface of the shellholder and the bottom of the die.

In the picture below you can see the shellholder, but you cannot tell how much clearance there is between it and the die. On my older RCII I could see this distance, or measure it using a feeler gauge between the shellholder and die base when setting up certain operations. With the RC Supreme, I can't clearly see the clearance, and if I try to use a feeler gauge it interferes with the press frame at the top of the stroke.

So my question is, does the RCBS Rebel, or one of the Redding presses have more clearance above the frame at the top of the ram stroke, like my previous RCII did?

That's weird! Every RockChucker I've handled set the top of the shellholder ~0.5" from the top of the frame window.

You don't need to see the gap, but it's helpful. . .

Is the ram the same length as their "universal" replacement? I'm using one in my Pacific C to get away from the cal specific rams.
