What do you use to lube the ram and other moving parts of your loading press(es)? I have been thinking about using Dupont Teflon Multi-Use spray. It worked great for keeping my motorcycle chain lubed when I was still riding. I am curious if anyone knows how it would work as press lube?

I use whatever I use on guns because it's already at hand. So for me that means Rem-oil, Break Free, and Mobil-1 at various times. The stuff you have should work fine. Just don't get any overspray on live primers.

Machine Gunner's Lube from sprinco.com. It's the best I've found, and I've tried just about all of them. If you can't get that, then Rem-Oil also works well on the ram.

Hope this helps.

I've been using Lubriplate on all my presses bearing surfaces for many years now. My two Dillon 550B presses have been operating smoothly now for over twenty years without any problems. :)

I've tried several different lubes - like case lube - and it doesn't last.

So now I just use Hoppe's No 9 gun oil. - same stuff I use on my S&W Model 10s

what ever I have on hand. just make sure you clean it on a regular basis. (change oil in the car clean the press and relube)

I use ATF at times, but I've lately been cleaning/lubing my Lee Turret in one pass with Breakfree CLP. Does a good job of cleaning, lubrication and rust prevention.

Gotta love that.

Just be careful to keep such lubricant away from the priming and powder handling components, whatever they may be.

I like high detergent motor oils such as Mobil-1. It migrates quickly to all moving surfaces and washes the crud out of the ram/ press body joint. Dry lubes lube well, but don't have a detergent action.
