Update

Big Boss II on the way, along with Redding shellholder, dies, auto primer system, 2 kinds of lube. I hope this will be a good setup and thanks for the posts.

+1 on the Lee products. I've found their products to be relatively inexpensive, yet reliable. I would recommend their customer service too.

gibekim I have a Redding T-7 also along with a dillon 550, The T-7 gets used and the dillon collects dust, you will be well pleased with the T-7.

Got the boss 2 set up tonight with the auto prime system and dies. I took some clean swabs and wiped out the die to get out the preservative then used a swab to coat the inside with a film of imperial wax, I even put a little on the expander. Then lubed a couple cases and tried it out. Pretty darned slick. The primer system required a little custom fitting by me with a file but is working good. I think this will be a good setup.

Well, you said you wanted a lot of leverage and the Redding UltraMag has nearly double the leverage of your new press, which "only" has about the same leverage of others in it's class. But your new BB 2 has plenty, as you have learned.

"IMO the Lee Challenger and Breech Lock presses are useless."

A press is a press. I have no use for Lee or Hornady's costly quick change die bushings but I sure wouldn't call them useless.

If doing a BUNCH of de-priming, and THE BIG BOSS II starts SPITTING some spent

primers on the floor. (some do miss)

Just tap a piece of a pencil into the slot to block things off, leaving the center hole uncovered.

When ready to go back to regular mode, just tap or pull out the pencil piece from the ram groove.

I am looking for a single stage press of high quality with a lot of leverage. I am considering the redding big boss and the lyman crusher. I am not going with hornady locknload or rcbs . Which of these presses do you think is the best and what other press would you recomend. My current press is the entry level redding which i like the idea of it but I want more leverage. My press is about 9 years old.

Well, i love my Co-AX BUT, if i was looking for a "lot of leverage" i wouldn't be using a C0-AX. GREAT press, but not up there with the leverage kings, like the Rockchucker ect...

BTW, i have a new, "no box" Co-AX hanging in my barn that i'd sell... I'll never wear out the old one bolted to my bench, so no need to keep the new one any longer.

I replaced a boss but I thought it was called something else back in the day.
