Pretty Little Browning (Now with Scope)

I spotted a Belgian SA-22 at an LGS this morning...under $800 in fair shape. Wanted to cry for some of the damage but was still wishing I could take it home. If ever you have the opportunity to shoot one, do yourself that favor as they are truly that nice.

One of the nicest .22 Rimfire autos of recent years was the T-C R22 CLASSIC. All steel construction with walnut stock. Manufactured only a few years and demonstrated, once again, that some guns are too good for the market. DSC_0020 (3).JPG DSC_0048 (2).JPG DSC_0040 (2).JPG DSC_0052 (2).JPG

I have always thought the Browning SA-22 was the holy grail of .22's. So much so that I spent my entire tax return in 1971 on one. I still have it. The last big mess of squirrels I shot with in just outside of Bowie, TX was with that gun. Right now I have a 4X Bushnell rimfire scope on it, but I've never found just the right scope for it. I think it's a lot like '94 Winchesters they look, feel, and handle right with no scopes at all. But as time marches on I don't look, feel, or handle right without a scope on those rifles. I have the cantilevered scope mount on the barrel that requires the rear sight to be removed.
Truly one of the greatest rifle designs of all time.
