Kimber Pro Carry SS Series 1 or S.A. Champion?

Got an opportunity to pick up a Kimber SS Pro Carry Series I for $575.

Night sights with 200 rounds thru the gun. Condition is 98%

Was planning on getting a S.A. Champion but this deal hit me head on.

So, whats the best course of action? Take the Kimber or keep pursuing a Champion?

Help me out all you 1911 guru's......

Kimber Series I or Champion

In my opinion the Kimber would be the one to get first. I don't have one of those Series I Pro Carry, but I do have a Full Size Series I and it is absolutely the best semi-auto I own. Centerfire that is..........

If the night sights are factory, retail on those is about $110. IOW, you've been presented with an opporunity to buy a>=$700 gun with $110 in additions for $575. Granted, those are retail or close to retail prices, but I think the price is a good one.

Disclaimer: I always think I got a good deal, until someone here on THR brags about his deal. ;)

Be advised that the factory Kimber night sights have often been criticized for having a short life.Aside from that, the price is good.I have owned one and can report good performance, and it's fun to stare at.

200 rounds means it isn't even broken in yet. That's a screaming deal.

I picked it up. It was actually a Series II but worked out ok for me.

So far I have 100 rounds thru it myself without a hiccup. :D
