Found a used but good shape Colt SP1 in the Car-15 version for $1000. Good clean little rifle with the thin receiver wallls and pencil thick barrel. Someone put an aftermarket trigger in - uses C clips to hold the trigger pin in place. Good trigger pull.

Is one K a good price for this rifle? Any resale value?

TIA,

Al Thompson

Depending upon the condition that is at the very least a good deal...
Often the lower receiver alone sells for that price...

I've seen them going for around $1100-1200 complete, and I've seen the lowers going for $1000 by themselves.

That is a very good price. I paid $1100 for an SP1, 20", within the last six months and considered that to be a good deal.

I had a guy offer me $1300 on the spot for my SP1 at the range. Turned him down just as quickly, the Carbine sounds like an outstanding price, I'd LOOK this gift horse in the mouth.:scrutiny:
