I need some input from the collective brain trust here. I have been looking for a Beretta Mod. 70 for some time with little success. However, I found one today at my local gunshop and am wondering if the price they are asking is reasonable or not. It is marked as a Beretta Mod. 70s, caliber is .380 acp, it comes with one mag, but the left hand side of the slide is devoid of about 50% of the finish. The barrel is in good shape, no pitting, with clear lands and grooves, and the slide lockup is like a vault. I suspect it was carried a lot but fired little. Dealer tag says $249 but he said I can have it for $200. I have been looking for this model for awhile, although not in this caliber, but then again I have also been considering a small lightweight summer carry gun such as a S&W 642, and with this I suppose I could fulfill both wants. So, with all that said, does the $200 asking price sound reasonable given the condition it is in?

That doesn't seem too bad, they are good little pistols but it's really hard to value them with that much finish wear. I'd be comfortable paying that price from your description.
