Price check on King Cobra

I have a lead on a King cobra 4" for $399. Nice, like new condition, but has been shot. The book value on these states $450 but I have seen these going for a lot higher lately. I have not kept up on these much as I collect pythons and diamondbacks.

Is this a decent deal on this gun and are prices on these realistic?

The prices on the King Cobras are wishy washy at best.
Yesterday a beautiful 4 inch Blue KC ended in the $450 range.
A week or 2 ago a Mint in box 6 incher in Blue brought over $1300.
You did not specify if she's a Blue or stainless model.
Either way, buying any minty KC for $399 is buying it right and a win win situation. You won't ever lose money on that deal.

That is misleading as there's always going to be some screwed up deals out there.
RonJons post is not a good reflection on current market values.

Ha!...it is a small world...I believe I'd be the person who purchased that KC in the $450 range off GB. I was looking for info & one of the searches turned up this thread! I'll post a pic or two when, hopefully, she shows up next week.

I'm usually a 1911 fan, but about a year ago I figured it would be prudent to fill out the Colt revolver collection while prices are still somewhat reasonable. I was lacking a .357 & came across the KC...I'm way more a fan of blued stuff than stainless & I had remembered reading a couple times that KC's only came in stainless (incorrect)...so I had to "pull the trigger"

You cant go wrong if its in good shape. This is the only forum that Ive found Blued KCs in.

Great photos of some great looking guns. FWIW there is a NIB SS 4 inch King Cobra at a local store and they are asking $499 so I think that the price you mentioned is very fair....

I gave over $500 for this shot 6", and I'm still happy. (traded for it) Same case had a NIB SS one for $800.

I bought my blued 4" King Cobra just a while back for $350 = $25 FFL tranfer.

I LOVE IT! It's the smoothest shooting, easiest handling handgun I've shot...

You won't go wrong with getting yours for $399... You'll never lose money on it, and the way I understand it, the blued ones are harder come by, providing yours is blued.
