I would Say I depends on where you live. Here in the PR of NJ, the best price I could find for my 686p 4" was 585.00 out the door. This was only
a couple of months ago. Well worth it however. The new Smith's Really
come close to the smiths of yester year in quality, dont let anyone tell
you other wise. Mine is at least as smooth as my dad's early 60's era
n-frame. Also they lost that goofy laser etching on the barrel, It's roll
marked again
I just got a new one off gunbroker for $475 delivered. my shop said they'd let me have one for $499+ tax, which was about $3 over their cost.
cheers,
Derek
