I was sitting @ the break table @ work and this guy asked if anybody wanted to buy a .22. Said it was a "Stevens single shot .22 lever action" to which I replied "you mean it's a falling block" . He said "yeah I guess".
Anyway he wants $175 for it, which I don't really want to pay when I can get a new gun for about that, but I told him if he doesn't get any other offers I'd give him $125. He didn't have much info on it, said he thinks it was made in the 50's but is going to bring in pictures and more info.
So the question is, is this gun worth paying $125-150 for. I really want a gun that I can shoot shorts and CB caps at tree rats, but I'm wondering if I will lose any accuracy in a chamber/barrel designed for .22 LR.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me on this. I'll post more info as I get it.
