I have a friend who wants to sell his Glock 19. It's gotta be one of the original 19's I would say, based on the age. He's had it since the early 90s.
I haven't seen the gun in years, but he says it is in great shape, with no mechanical hiccups ever reported. He's fired about 200-300 rounds through it.

It comes with the original plastic box and an extra mag. He says they are 17 rounders. He's asking $300.

Should I go lower, or is this a decent price?

I'm not good with used gun prices. I haven't purchased a used gun since I was a kid.

Of course look at the weapon before you agree to buy. Break it down and make sure its pretty clean inside.

Assuming it's a personal sale with no tax, and is as lightly used as he says, it doesn't sound like a bad deal. New G19s go for around 475-500 here in Texas. So you're saving a couple hundred bucks.

If the gun's in good order, I'd say go for it.

$300 sounds fair for a Gen 1 or Gen 2 G19 with standard sights. For an extra $100 you can slap on some Meprolights for a total investment of $400. Not bad.

Sound fair...very fair actually. I was never one for the finger grooves or the rail, so you may (IMO) have one of the good ones ;)

Make sure you are satisfied with the grip on it. Some of the older glocks don't have a molded grip.

But overall $300 is a good price. 200-300 rounds is nothing. You could fire 5000 rounds thorugh it and it would still be reliabale.

If he isn't a close friend, offer him $250 for it and go from there.

As always, excellent responses. Thanks for all the advice. I think I might get it. It will be nice to have a "9" in my collection again.
