price of a Kimber TLEII?

Just got done doing a little 1911 shopping. I was looking at SW, SA and Kimber. I like the Kimber the best. I am particularly fond of the TLEII, stainless. I went to two different shops, bet price was 900 bucks. I know prices vary, the other store was 950. I plan on calling around to see if I can do better, but think 900 is a decent price, is it?

Looking around on Gun broker and that seems decent.

Yeah, $900 seems to be the going rate. That's about how much I got mine for, and I later got a Team Match II for only about $75 more...and it comes with a whole bunch more goodies...mag well, 8+1 rnds, ambi-safety, adj. target sights, match trigger, etc. etc.

I also love my SA Custom Loaded Full-Size 1911-A1 in Black Stainless...$820 otd from David R. at Elliots Small Arms, (504) 833-3140. He's "Donkey 21" on GunBroker...might want to give him a call and see what he can do for you.

I absolutely love both my Kimber and SA...can't decide between them...they are that good.

If I remember correctly I saw them listed back in Aug on gunbroker for less than that. I ended up with the TLE II in black oxide for about $760 plush shipping and FFL fees. In my area that was a substantial savings over a local dealer. If you go with a Kimber, I hope you like yours as well as I like mine.

Thanks for the input. I have another store I want to check out locally. If I don’t buy then I can wait until the end of March for the gun show. I appreciate the sanity check on the price. From my recent searches 900 seems to be the starting point for a new one blued, not stainless.
