I stopped by a nearby gun shop today and saw a 10MM Colt Delta Elite sitting in the case. The blueing was in excellant condition. Overall, I would say the previous owner maintained it well and it appears to have been fired very little. The asking price is $699. As I rarely see any Colts in Maryland I wanted to find out if this is a fair price.

That price seems to be a little high for the NOVA area, as I have seen stainless ones in excellent condition for around $550-$575

But then again, you are in MD....

Most of the Deltas I've seen lately are well over $700, some as high as $900+ (not for Gold Cups, just basic models).

It used to be normal to see them for $650 for blued, $750 for stainless, and $1,000 for Delta Gold Cups pretty consistently. But the prices are starting to go up, on average.

Not a bad price, but not great either. However, that often has to do with geographic location, so it certainly could be in line.

The Delta is a great pistol, provided you don't hammer it with full house 10MM loads(at least in stock form).

I sounds like the pistol in question won't have the following problem, but I would suggest stripping it down and verifying that the frame doesn't look peened inside(from overzelous loads), and ensure there is no crack developing around the slide stop hole.

If all checks out, and you want a 10MM, I would suggest grabbing it.

That sounds like a good price to me as they are rarely even seen in this area.
I concur with Sean's price figures as I searched long and hard for one.

Man, Virginia must be a hot bed for Deltas, huh? Next time you see an excellent stainless one for $550 buy it and you'll make a quick $50 on it. Trying to keep up with Sean. ;)

Was at a show today and there were two that I saw. One was 80% or so with some cheesy aftermarket parts for $600 and a 92% with box for $799.
