I want to thank everyone for their helpful comments on the A5 Browning 16ga that was posted here about 2 weeks ago.

Based on your suggestions, I bought Rio, Winchester, and more Remington ammo from another lot. All 2-3/4 Game Loads. (This was suggested as a test for weak primers on my ammo which was all from a single batch.) I had the chance to shoot 3 of each yesterday with no improvement. The funny thing is, the first 3 or 4 are perfect, then the gun warms up and :barf:.

Luckily there's a high-end shotgun shop near me and they gave me the name of their gunsmith. In talking to him today, he had absolutely never heard of such a thing on a Belgian A5. This guy is in his 70's so he's seen some Auto 5s in his time. I showed him the spent shells from yesterday and he agreed it has to be the firing pin.

So the gun is dropped off and I'll get to call back in about 2 weeks.

Again. Thanks for all the great suggestions, hints, and comments.
