Would you be willing, or are you willing to pay 4 cents a primer. SP and SR, well LR also, but I really don't need many of them. Winchester, CCI, and Remington just to clarify. That makes a little difference, because I would definitely not be interested in Wolf or Tula at those prices. Just me, your mileage may vary. I guess I should have just tried this in a poll.

Less than a month ago I was paying $28.09 per 1K for Winchester SPP. This past weekend I paid $31.59 per 1K for Winchester SPP. An increase of $3.50 or roughly 12.5%

I'm certainly not complaining as I know other folks are paying much more than that. My price point is probably in the $35.00 per 1K range.

All the best,
Steve

The big name primers were commonly $28-35/1000 before the s storm. Tulammo were $18.
So $40/1000 would probably not be a big deal.

Before tha panic I was just buying primers locally for $42/k after taxes. During the panic I picked up Tula primers for 27.50/k after shipping/tax/hazmat from Powder Valley. $30/k for Russian and $45/k for US is about all I'm willing to pay at this point. It seems high to the people that paid $15-20 5-10 years ago, but they must forget about about inflation and supply/demand. But there's still a point when high prices are simply gouging.

Normal price out here is $34 per k. I've paid $40 per k a few weeks ago. Primers at gun shows were anywhere from $60 to $85 per k. I was horrified at the prices they were charging at the gun show!

My primer honey hole has started getting them back in stock.

I paid $59.99 recently.. but had ta have em... still cheaper to load my ammo than Buy it... so worked ok for now

That was for .357 and 9mm..... Got the powder at a good price so all works out in the end

.06 ea is better than NONE at all

None of us who have paid .01-.02 cents a primer are happy with a lot of the prices today.
But as said, it's still a heck of a lot cheaper than buying loaded ammo.
I doubt we'll ever see 2 cent primers again, and I don't mind paying 6 or 7 cents when they could easily hit .20 or more in just a heartbeat, or the swash of someone's pen.
I'm happy to have them at any price while they can still be had.
I had many before the panic, and still buy more when I find them.
Call me stupid, and adding to the problem, but hey, I'm happy about it, and it's my money.

I buy CCIs or Winchesters locally for $38/1,000. There's another store that has LR and LP for $32/1,000 but I use mostly SR and SP.

Just picked up 500 WLR from a local Guy. Paid $25 fir them. That's about the most I'd pay, and was happy to because he had to pull them from his stash.

Sent from my CZ85 Combat

I tried a brick of wolf LR primers last year and they were as good as any other primers Ive used and Id surely buy them again.

Well here in my part of the Lone Star State, powder is beginning to show up sporadically. Primers are scarce as hen's teeth. I did have a friend last week ask me if I wanted to buy his primers, he hasn't reloaded in a couple of years and had about 8000 mixed SR, SP, LR, LP and Shotgun. Bought the whole lot for $200.00. But since they are non-existant here, what else could I do but help a friend out.

Here in north Missouri I paid $33 to $35 per 1000 six months ago but recently noticed that they went up to $38 to $40 per 1000 when available. I bought 3000 at $38 just to stock up a little.

Prices are regional. So are taxes. Here, $35-40/1k out the door at the LGS is typical. And even if I could find primers cheaper elsewhere, shipping and hazmat would offset any savings.

I picked up 4000 CCI SP and 2000 CCI LP for 30.58/k including shipping and Haz-mat just last January. I haven’t loaded them yet as I’m rotating my stock, but they should keep me going for 6 months from the time I get to them.

Pre-2013, local prices were $43/K out the door. Now the are right at $50/K out the door. I still do my best to buy on line.

Paid $40 1k of spp but I just started and only in place in stock. Found some spmp used for $20 1k but only had one :(
