There was a question about private sellers, primers, hazmat fees, ORM-D labels etc.

Primers received today, USPS, no hazmat no labeling. Purchase was off gun broker from a private party.

Glad it worked out for you, but it is illegal, and potentially has legal and liability issues if something were to happen.

In my former position I was certified to ship hazardous materials (mainly hybrid automotive batteries) and there are a variety of regulations around labeling, packaging, and handling of different types of hazardous materials.
The consequences can literally be disastrous depending on the items being handled.

Seller obviously lied at the counter of USPS when asked does the package contain any hazardous, potentially dangerous, explosives, chemicals, etc. etc.

Don't know what the ramifications would be if caught but you are dealing with a federal entity.

I received some 209 primers via mail about 2 months ago. Same experience, no hazmat sticker. Kind of left me shaking my head..

I’d venture a guess that most private parties are shipping things this way.

I’m the buyer of these kind of things, but, if I was the seller how would I ship these correctly. Specifically, not like, “take them to someone certified to ship hazmat”

Like who? Fed-ex UPS GROUND?
