No primer shortage in Tulsa.

http://dongsguns.com/Products.asp?cat=14

I added them up this morning and he shows to have over 230,000 primers in stock. I realize that is not an exuberant amount but it is more than I've seen in any one place in a long time. I've watched his 'in stock' quantities for a few days and they do fluctuate so as far as I know they are accurate.
I have purchased ammo from Dong's online in the past but it says on the website that he doesn't ship primers. :banghead: I remember reading somewhere that he did have a 1 or 2 K limit on them but I don't know that for sure. But anyway, maybe somebody that lives in the area can benefit from this info?

Thanks. My brother is probably travelling down there next week so he might stop by and get some for me if he's able to.

they are a terrible store full of jerks. they have been made rather popular lately buying up airtime on all the radio stations using scare tactics to increase sales. anytime they get a chance they do.
i quit visiting their store whenever they turn around when customers try talking to them just because they dont know what a certain gun is.

sometimes i wonder how they are "the oldest gunshop in tulsa"

When I was there about a month ago, he had a one 100 ct limit on all primers per customer per day...

The gun range/shop closer to home, which is known for being a little pricey still sells them (when they have them) for about $32/1000... so I just wait for them to get them...

Cheers...

Granted their prices are high but they have some in stock.

Back around the first of April I decided to get back into reloading because I could not buy ammunition for my 380 or 9mm. I soon discovered that this was not the ideal time for such an endeavor. But in the past 60 or so days I have gathered up 5 die sets, a turret press, a few thousand bullets, loads of brass, 15 assorted pounds of powder, other necessary odds and ends and 2K pistol primers and 2 K rifle primers.

When I was trying to round up what supplies I hadn't loaned out I found a partial box (of 100) of LR primers that I had bought for $1.25. I wish now I had bought 10K at that price but I didn't. I paid $55 a thousand for the rifle primers and $42 a thousand for the pistol primers and was glad to get them. I was prepared to paid more for these first ones if I had to just so I would have a small cushion. I've got more backordered for better prices but at least for now I have plenty.
Now I have another problem to deal with, one I thought I had beaten long ago. I had forgotten how much fun it was to roll your own and I'm shooting more than I have in years......

Hi, my name is Greg and I'm addicted. Again...:banghead:

What a bunch of fools they are. I sent them an email saying they should be ashamed of themselves.

They responded with sending me 450 empty emails. Of course gmail just staked them up in one nice pile for me.

What a bunch of yahoos.

I just wrote a rule to to auto reply and sent them back to them. They were all empty so I figured they may want them back.

Another couple hundred messages from them again today.... They must not be that busy.
