Is it just me or are primers really hard to come by lately? My local Gander mountain, is clean out, Midway is out of large rifle. What's up?

I'm not having a problem finding primers but I am having a problem with the prices. I can find all the pistol and rifle primers I need but I can't afford to buy many.

Primers have been hit or miss for well over a year and the election results has only compounded the problem. Finally I'm stocked up.....

I ordered 10,000 Wolf small pistol primers 6 month's ago from Wideners. They were $210 delivered.:D I'm good to go for 357 mag and 40 S&W.:D

Around here they are hard to find. I don't really want to pay the haz-mat fee online so that's the one thing I buy locally. I did find a little shop yesterday, and I loaded up.

Even after all the shipping fee's, my primers were only $21/brick. I can't come close to beating that price locally, Sportsmans Warehouse is $25+ and the gun show's are running about $25. I'm probably going to order another case of Wolf primers from Wideners this year, its a good deal.:)

I was in my local (Lexington.Ky) Sportsmans Warehouse this past Tuesday and the shelves were stripped bare. There was no powder, brass, or common bullet calibre's. They had a few primers but no SR Mag primers. Ammo was very limited. The bricks of .22 LR Blazer ammo that cost $14.98 in Oct now cost $18.98. America must be armed to the teeth.

I recently (last month) picked up 15K primers for $150 from a local gun store. There were Winchester small rifle and pistol. At that price, I bought all they had. ;)
