Hey gang, looking for a priming tool to use with my Lee single stage press. Hand strength is'nt what it used to be when using the hand held tool, any suggestions? Thanx

I cannot make long priming runs with a hand primer any more. I still do short runs with the hand primer, 100-200 primed cases.

For big runs, I purchased an RCBS APS bench mounted priming system.

Priming on my RCBS or Redding single stage presses never lit my fire.

I cannot comment specifically on the Lee priming systems for their single stage presses.

I'm using the Forrester Co-Ax Bench Priming Tool and have been very happy with it

I highly recommend the RCBS Bench Mounted priming tool. Mine is the standard model that uses primer pick-up tubes. Best tool I would recommend as it has just the right leverage and feel. A little costly but well worth the money. Nothing wrong with a ram-prime system but the RCBS Bench Mounted priming tool is faster and has better feel.

I am quite fond of my RCBS hand priming tool with the APS strips. Never cock a primer or seat one backwards with this tool. However, one will want to get the APS loading tool for use with other maker's primers, or those CCI which you can't find in the strips.

Use the hand-prime. Doesn't matter which brand, they are all very similar. Lee is probably the cheapest, rcbs may be the best built but that is just a guess. They are money well spent. You are visually verifying all primers in proper orientation during use, you can use it in the recliner watching a ball game, and it does every caliber. Nothing not to love about it.

Any Ram prime unit will work very well. I've been using the RCBS ram priming die since I started reloading more than 30 years ago, and I haven't looked back.
