TexasRifleman,

Are you sure Glen Beck is a convicted felon? I know conservative host G. Gordon Liddy of Watergate fame is. But a quick search turned up nothing on Mr. Beck.

I saw that program just the other night. The Stossel interview was well worth it. Glenn Beck definitely supports gun rights and explains it in such a way as for most of the general public to accept. As another plus, he even devoted an entire episode to a Ron Paul interview even though he admittedly disagreed with the candidate on some issues.

Just to add, I think he may have misunderstood about the gunowners' registration that Hillary is supposedly against. If he doesn't know that gun owners don't need to be registered (in most places) I don't think its from lack of trying. Like someone else had said its not his specialty.

I've watched this video a few times now. All the points addressed didn't totally sink in initially. It's amazing. It succinctly covers just about every important issue that mass media needs to address currently. I'm going to have to start a Youtube account and make this my first video.

I'm utterly amazed by the kid in the VT segment. The anti one. I'm not mature enough to carry a gun? I can vote. I can drive. I'm a combat veteran, but I'm not mature enough to carry a gun? They must raise kids different in Virginia.

i find cnn to be very anti. i can name 2 people who get to talk on cnn who bash guns. mike galanos and nancy grace. just today i heard nancy grace say "what is he doing with an AR15? what does he need an AR15 for? what does the A stand for?"

i wonder why it wasn't asked of the vt victim if he had a gun that day, if he woulda used it...

That's a good question. I'd be interested to know too.

On second thought, the guy is so obviously afraid of guns. Have you ever witnessed grown adults fire a handgun for the first time in their lives? You can almost see all the fears about guns crashing down on them at that one moment. After they pull the trigger, if they’re using a suitable caliber, it's like a stunned disbelief about the enjoyment of what just happened. So, it's hard to say how this guy would respond to the question if this guy has never pulled the trigger.

Get him to the range now!

Off topic.

I think you guys/gals are being too hard on the student who was a victim at the VT shooting. People like that can serve a vital role in our personal protection plan. In an active shooter situation, while the shooter is focusing on the slow and weak, you can affect your escape. If escape is not possible, I think that VT victim would have made an excellent shield.

Just kidding, I really do not think that weakling would even make a good shield. Is my contempt for those who worship weakness showing through? gr_barf.gif

Back on topic.

I guess it is good that Glen Beck talks about these things. He annoys me though. It does not seem that he really understands what he is talking about. John Stossel on the other hand comes across as logical and in command of the topic. The guy from SCCP in the other interview mentioned came across as knowledgeable and logical also. The problem is that logic appears to be ineffective in persuading most. How do you reach the huge percentage of the population that is un-swayed by logic, but buys into ridiculous, irrational, emotional arguments?
