I just picked up a mosin Nagant from Gander took it home and did a field strip to clean out all of the cosmoline. After I finished cleaning it and reassembled the rifle the trigger dosen't catch at all and dosen't trigger the firing pin. Did I mess something up when I removed the bolt assembly? I didn't disassemble the bolt assembly but I followed a viedo on youtube on how to feild strip everything whent fine but like I said the reassembly seems a bit messed up is there something simole I'm missing?

I would say the pin in your trigger fell out take it back out of the stock and see..I had that happen to me :)

Seems like either the pin is missing in the trigger or the screw holding the trigger spring is missing. Is there any resistance when pulling the trigger? Does the bolt come out without pulling the trigger?

Did you watch a video or photos on "Surplusrifle"?

Their excellent photos on the Yugo Mauser allowed me to install a stronger firing pin spring on my Yugo 48A Mauser.
This was my first attempt (Ever) at replacing any internal gun component.

thanks all

Thanks all you were right the pin fell out of the trigger it's working now. Thank you all very much.
