If you paid by credit card dispute the charges with your credit card company, if you paid my check or cash I think you may be S.O.L. Sorry…

1. Dispute the charges with your credit card company.
2. Contact the gunsmith and ask him again to rectify the situation. If he refuses again, you have nothing to lose if you post his name here with a careful description of how you were cheated. If you tell an accurate story, there will be no lawsuit. You would be doing others a favor. Nobody wants to deal with a gunsmith who refuses to make it right.

I think everyone wants to know who to avoid but rember that alot of people are "sue happy" these days. In a case like this you have nothing to gain by posting his info online. You may just be opening yourself up to risk. I hope you get a refund or atleast the work is done right on his dime.

Matt

Sure there is something to gain, warning others not to use this turd. I would think that is an obligation.

As MrM4 said, don’t think I have anything to gain by posting his info online. I’m very ill and don’t have the energy to do a long debate on this forum, which is what I think it would turn into. I got screwed by someone,
While there may be no financial gain for you, you would get some appreciation from some of the members of our little community here, and posssibly save others from going through what you have. As far as a long debate on the issue, there would only be one if you choose to debate.
If you remain silent, most likely others will end up getting burnt by this fellow as well.
I know I would appreciate you sharing the info, but the choice is yours.

As I mentioned in post # 2, the BBB has worked for me twice. And they wrere right on it. The trick is to find the right BBB, there are dozens in each state, try to find the one with the brodest stroke, like the state BBB, also there are some that are local chapters you want the state, or city run one. There are also ripoff report, sites if you google them you can put him up on there also, as long as you stick to the facts. A letter from a local attorney runs about 1-2 hundred, I just did one a few months ago, I found a local attorney who did business in my area and she wrote me a letter for $100.00. You can make this guys life a lot more difficult. Don't believe that ther is nothing you can do about it. i became good friends wit the VP of Brandsmart, "a large electronics store here in FL", I refused my tv 8 times, they broke something each time they took it back plus I was without my main TV for 9 months. She showed me the bill, "about 6 years ago" they spent $3,500 on a $1,500 dollar tv, Their truckers and warantee company was at fault, because of this they switched companys and a few people lost their jobs. After all was said and done she gave me a gift card for a new tv So don't just allow someone to abuse you. This guy needs to know that there are consequences for his actions.

Can you be more specific? Price he quoted and price you paid, sights, etc.

Remember, "the devil is in the details".
